When you can't find the perfect RV to travel the country in with your kids... YOU BUILD YOUR OWN.

      December 28, 2018 is when I purchased a senior citizen shuttle bus from Cape Henlopen, DE, which happens to be our favorite camping spot.

      With a love for tiny houses, minimalism and the outdoors, keeping this build simple, open and streamlined was an essential factor in designing our Summer Home on Wheels. Although they were young, I felt it was important that the girls were involved with the design and build process as much as possible.

​

      After working on the bus for four months, designing, gutting, prepping, insulating, servicing and converting, we enlisted help from RoadRoots Upfitters, Navigation Nowhere and Wagner Woodworking to help complete the build in just four weeks to meet our goal of being on the road by Memorial Day.

​

     Plans for now are to live in the bus as much as possible and travel the country with the desire to one day live in it full time.
